Day 1 - Beach FUN & LA night life

One of the greatest things that happened on Vacation was that my sister Sara just so happened to be taking her kids on vacation at the same time and we were able to spend Monday together! We started at the Santa Monica Pier. It was so warm that the kids were able to get wet and really have a beach day.
That evening we drove over to Hollywood Blvd. and saw the Hollywood Stars, the street performers, and for fun we rode the subway.
A perfect L.A. day!
Nate, was only to happy to be covered in sand so he could take a nap undisturbed on the beach.

Gotta love Harry Potter!
Just for fun we rode the Subway down a couple of streets. Really, one of the coolest things I've done. It's totally silent down there and then you slowly start to feel a little breeze from the tunnel and then a little more of a breeze... until your hair is whipping around your face. Then you see the lights from the Subway Train coming down the tunnel. It's kinda a freaky experience. : )
