Who am I?

I've been asking that question a lot lately. I think, I have lost myself along the way. Oh, I'm still taking care of my family, saying prayers with the kids, keeping a clean house, fulfilling my callings, etc. BUT who am I?
What do I believe? What do I think about current events? Do I have strong political views?
I guess it boils down to this: in order to have an opinion of something you should have taken the time to study that subject and to have made time to form your own thoughts.
I'm going to home school TJ this year and I've been doing a lot of reading into a program called Thomas Jefferson Education. One of their main points is:
INSPIRE NOT REQUIRE.
Meaning that education comes from a LOVE OF LEARNING that can only be taught by example. What am I doing to inspire my children's love of learning?
Do they ever see me reading, writing, discussing? NO. I clean house, make dinner, go on play dates, get on the computer and only once they are all tucked in bed do I pull out a book or scriptures. If my kids are watching me... I think the example they would see are work, clean, nap, play.
SO, starting in September (waiting for the weather to cool off and get vacations done with) I am designating mornings as sacred time. Time for me to read a classic (no more dragon books, or at least not very often LOL!) or to read my scriptures or to write in my journal. All when my children are up and present. I'm sure that I will be interrupted... and that's fine. I want to be available to read them a book or go over math etc.
But I am going to try to INSPIRE by 1st taking care of myself and leading by example.

I know that you can do it and you will do very well. Love YA!!!!!
You are too hard on yourself. I know you are already a great example for your little ones. Hats off to the home schooling. We're starting August 24 and I'm doing Kindergarten curriculum with Alea. We're all excited! Call if you feel the need to chat/vent or get some encouraging.

Your kids see the important things. Good luck with your time for you and with home school.
I don't think you give yourself enough credit. You are a great person and set a great example for you boys just by being yourself.
